Irina was born among the kinfolk of the Shadow Lords, but when she was 3 years old, her parents were forced to give her to their Garou kin. She was raised mostly by the Philodox elder of the caern, as she was Philodox too, and she grew up far from people, with no friends, devoted to learning the Garou ways and laws, as she never knew anything more than that. She learned to be cold and manipulative, and also to twist the laws to make them mean what she wanted them to mean.

She never remembered that kind of upbringing like something possitive: she thought that Garou children have to be children before they can be Garou, and that they must be raised as normal children if possible.

Eventually, Irina fell in love with a man. Garou of her tribe didn't approve the relationship, as he didn't have the blood of the Shadowlords running through hs veins, and he didn't even belong to the kinfolk, but Irina thought that was a stupid reason, more typical of Silver Fangs than of Shadowlords, and she went on with her relationship. He was almost 10 years older than her, and had a son from a formed marriage, who truly hated Irina because he could feel the Rage within her... but she didn't care. She married him and had a daughter with him.

Then, the trouble started. Both children were affected by the Curse, and were afraid of her, so she never could be a mother for any of them. Her husband started to be affected by the curse soon, as she grew more and more frustrated of her life. She started to think of leaving her human life and focus on her Garou life when she became pregnant again. She could not leave like that.

When the child was born, the choice was even more difficult. He was a Garou. He didn't fear her, he knew she was his mother... But the rest of her family feared her and treated her as a complete stranger. She decided to leave and carry her newborn child with her... But an old friend and new enemy found her and made her think of it again: she was going to raise her child as she was raised... as she had said that she would never raise her children. Not very happily, she finally told her former friend to take the baby back home and left, not without making her swear that she would keep her tribe far from her son until he went through his first change.

Since then, Irina has been a wanderer. She has left her human life completely, and she's an awesome Philodox and Shadowlord. Intelligent, manipulative and impartial, she's required by many clans to be a judge. She has been looking for her son in the distance, but she always feared to approach him and being rejected. Finally, the destiny has made her meet her son, but she never knew how to be a mother for him. Now they are living in the same caern, but they are still distant.

Irina is Isenborg's mother (she's officially Irina Isenborg, as Isenborg is a surname, not a name... But Irina always refused to take her husband's surname). It's a funny fact that Isenborg, since he went through his first change, was always told that she had his mother's eyes. I had not planned that she had a missing eye, neither did I plan that Isen ended losing his left eye too. But when I let dice decide which were Irina's battle scars, it came out that she had a missing eye just like her son!!! And I loved it. It must be the destiny.

Isen always wears an eyepatch, but Irina doesn't. She lets her long hair cover the left side of her face, and when she starts to get impatient about something or wants to intimidate, she lets her missing eye to be seen.

I wanted to portray her creating a shadow clone of herself, and I like the overall picture, but I don't like that she came out like a mix between my character Farah and my boyfriend's character Ikari. She also looks a bit like Isen, and that's fine.

I used dark clothes because I wanted a dark picture, and I think she looks too much as a goth... She actually shouldn't look like that ^^U She carries 2 daggers which are twin fetish daggers that she got from the Get of Fenris as a payment for her services.

I used coloring pencils, charcoal and paint. It looked like everything had the same colors... But the scanner ruined it again.

EDIT: Changed the picture for one with better scanning quality and higher resolution. Made it a bit darker.
