This is Seleena Duskmantle, my half elf mage in Dragonlance tabletop RPG.
Before going through the test of High Sorcery she was a nice girl, very social, even though she never fitted a lot in human society because of her elven heritage. She also was very proud of her pretty elvish features... But when she went through the test everything changed. One part of strong determination, another of naiveté and another of arrogance made her choose the most dangerous choices, to involve in her test in a way that wasn't healthy at all. She risked her own life many times, and she played with the lives of all her friends, losing them all in the deep of the oceans. She dared to defy Zeboim, the goddess of the seas. Because of that, she went through a Soulforge experience, and masters of High Sorcery gave her the "gift" of turning her skin pale and blueish like the skin of a drowned man. Now she fakes being proud of the ressults of her test, while always regretting having played with the lives of her beloved ones and hating her new look... Even though she admits that she would have taken the same choices if she had to do it again (she thinks she didn't take the wrong choices, it's just that anything came out as planned XD). She's still very social and friendly, even though now she takes advantage of her new look to be socially intimidating. People who used to be nice to her are now scared, so she had to change the way of treating people. Even though, she's still an expert in manipulating people's minds, with or without magic. I make jokes all the time about how much she's like a lich: she has a high charisma ability (16) even though she looks undead. Anyway, people ingame usually mistake her for an undead creature. A cleric of Mishakal tryed to rebuke her! The picture was made with inks and coloring pencils... And I used one of my old pictures as a model just because at first I was just doing a quick sketch. When it turned out nice I decided to color it. [link] >< I'm stealing my own work! I'm going to report myself! I took Seleena's surname from this card: [link] That's why I translate it to Spanish as "Mantoscuro"( [link] ), even though it is not literal. |

No sé si conoces Dragonlance.

I hate my track ball. . .
I'm not necessarily a fan of the skin coloring, but other than that, it's slick. Especially the cloth texture and eye areas look very detailed and thought through, even in the eye placement is... yeah, ok, elf thing. Nevermind.
A tad more shadow under her chin would solidify the dimensional feel, being as it is the face seems just a bit flat where it connects with the neck, but it's a petty gri-... Actually, now looking at it some more, I think the neck in general is somewhat hazy. The veins (muscles, tendons, jibberjabbers, or whatever those are called) are a bit too solid in my opinion, and the texture there a bit too smooth, giving a feeling of a plastic tube, rather than a neck.
But, other than that area, then, it's a very solid pic, with - again - excellent cloth texturing and anatomy. Seriously, nice work.
peace
